sometimes, i want to write the deepest, most powerful, most poignant poem the world has ever known
to have my name mentioned ahead of billy shakes'
to have similes like psychedelic campfires
to make my metaphors maimed angels
images that make the northern lights look like my images' shadows
and other times
i just want to write my daily poem
and call it done
