where mountains are not a cliche
but a to-do list item
where your skis are a status symbol
and your vehicle is a point of shame
unless it's a truck and your friends want a ride to a trail
where you lock your rotting bike shed
but not your front door
and did i mention that most bikes there cost more than most cars there
where the doctor and the waitress are hard to distinguish
a place where there's more consumers on the trail than in the stores
yeah, i'll take that place
