would schoolbags ever get clean without
procrastinating studying for exams
would this poem get written
if not for the overwhelming sensation
my novel brings me
and reading
all those great books and words
absorbed and forgotten
all excuses out of daunting to-do lists
dishes
cleaning
phoning friends
getting outdoors
all benefits of procrastination
