to the people who have turned their backs on us
the people who have left us
for unknown unmarked cabins
deep in the woods
places that we would rather
hang on the wall
than visit
thank you
you give me hope that when we fail
worthwhile will still exist
and we will fail
i am afraid of the day or night
our gluttony and plundering and pillaging
fail
but i hope its soon
