the grass lawn looks natural, easy
but took weeks of grimy fingernails and tired backs
the happy dandelion choked and suffocated
their straight roots strong as bailer twine
and holds onto the earth
like a toddler to their favourite toy
but, like all good work
the sweat is vanished
the work invisible
