it's lonely
watching friends die
remembering what your body used to do
age is no longer revered
are today's seniors less wise
or our youth
a frightening disconnect exists
a disconnect that always existed
but it's bigger now
the old want to be young
and the young never want to grow old
yet
we are missing something
a beauty and a comfort that comes with age for some
