mostly white
some crisp, some crumpled
some smudged with dates rubbed out
but we just reached the cardboard
the bottom of the ALDO box
fresh start
and we promise it'll never get this bad again
again
and there's adrenaline and high-fives and hugs and kisses
a weight has been lifted
a paper weight
